When attorney and longtime West Palm Beach resident Bill Jacobson founded the West Palm Beach Antique and Flea Market on Clematis Street over a decade ago, he had a clear vision: create a vibrant, family-friendly seasonal marketplace that complemented the area’s downtown scene. Jacobson—who also built a respected real estate law practice—poured his energy into curating a diverse mix of antiques, vintage goods, art, and crafts. His goal: attract tourists, collectors, and locals alike to Saturdays on clematis .
Under Bill’s leadership, the market grew steadily. Each season the event drew about 45 vendors, and weekly attendance surged, leading officials at the Downtown Development Authority to praise the market as an iconic highlight of downtown life. What started as a modest idea quickly became a beloved destination,—a testament to Bill’s knack for building community and gathering eclectic treasures.
Tragically, Bill passed away in February 2024 at age 77. Yet thanks to his foresight and persistence, the market he founded endured. Today, Bill’s family, has taken the helm. His wife, daughter, and son in law are preserving his legacy and maintaining core values—welcoming weekend shoppers, supporting local artisans and dealers, and fostering warm, neighborhood spirit.
